This year the Victorian Variety Bash had a distinct sports motoring theme, starting at Albert Park Pit Lane and onto Phillip Island, Winton and Bathurst.
This year, despite less cars than the year before, $1.4 million was raised on this event. A magnificent result for Variety.
The Willy Buccaneers were the leading team with donations and fundraising attributed to them, a total of $107,000. This is thanks to some major donors like Ropan from Traralgon, and others who requested to be anonymous, and will make a considerable difference to children in regional and rural areas. Variety are appreciative of the combined effort and thank all involved.
We visited many schools, distributing grants and educational aids and as you will see from the photos, having some fun with the children. Struggling regional schools will benefit from the funds raised.
It was a long trip, approximately 3,500km, all team members put in a great effort. It was tiring but keen to do it again next year.
